Weathers Moving

History

Carey F. Weathers started his moving business in Augusta, Georgia in 1896. Under the guidance of Carey’s youngest son, Arthur Carey Weathers, the business expanded into local and long distance operations in the southeastern United States and eventually formed a national van lines that serviced both the civilian and military markets.

After the family sold the van lines and many of its offices in the 30 states that it had a physical presence in the mid-1970’s, Weathers continued offering interstate moves by partnering with various small national interstate carriers.

Over the years, Weathers has successfully managed the relocation needs of thousands of Fayetteville and Jacksonville, NC families and businesses, including the disciplined and professional military service members and their families stationed at Fort Bragg and Camp Lejeune.

In 1996, Weathers, now in its fourth generation, was pleased to partner with Bekins Van Lines in a combined tradition of excellence. With a network of worldwide moving professionals, Weathers can offer relocation services to move you almost anywhere in the world – whether it be across the street, across the nation, or around the world.
