History

Bekins began in 1891 in Sioux City, Iowa, with three horse-drawn moving vans and a commitment to become the most trusted Moving and Storage Company in America.

Bekins started as a small family operation and has grown to become one of the nation’s largest moving company with more than 300 locations throughout the U.S. Over the years, we have expanded our business to include a full range of moving services for our residential, commercial and industrial customers.

Back in the old days, a strong back was the primary requirement for a successful move. But as the world changed, Bekins changed with it.
